The Welsh Government has placed a duty on all Housing Associations to ensure that rents and service charges are charged separately. This is so that any charges for services over and above the basic rent are transparent and fair.
To comply with these requirements, CCG is conducting a review of service charges.
A service charge is a payment made towards the costs of providing and maintaining services to tenants which is additional to what would be included in the normal rent. It means the right to use a service rather than just a use of the service. We do not profit from service charges, as we only claim the actual cost of providing the service (for example, the costs of providing lifts in a block of flats, providing onsite staff, maintaining land and communal cleaning). See our Service Charges Factsheet.
The Consultation Guide provides further information for you to read. All tenants will have received this pack in the post with details of any service charge relevant to their home.
It is important that we hear your views so that we understand the impact of the proposals on you and your family. Please take this opportunity to have your say by completing the consultation questionnaire.
You can click here to complete the questionnaire on-line.
You can download a copy of the questionnaire and return it to us in the post to Cartrefi Cymunedol Gwynedd, PO Box 206, Bangor, LL57 9DS.
If you would prefer to speak to someone or need any help to complete the questionnaire, please call us on 0300 123 8084. You can also attend one of the drop in sessions we will be running across the county, which will give you the opportunity to speak to staff face to face;
