Community stars

Do you know a tenant or resident who makes a difference in our communities or goes the ‘extra mile’ to help others?

If so, you can now nominate them for an award through our Community stars scheme.

Every 3 months, we will be selecting winners in four different categories, from nominations submitted by tenants, CCG staff, Councillors and other members of the public. The winners will receive a cash prize.


The four categories are:

Good neighbour

This category is for individuals who go the extra mile to help others in their communities.

Examples could include someone who helps the elderly, helps vulnerable people, organises community events, sets a good example to others in the community etc.


Good idea

This category is for individuals who come up with good ideas which would benefit our communities.

Examples could include an idea to reduce Anti-social behaviour, an idea to improve the environment, idea to improve the appearance of your neighbourhood, idea for activities/events for elderly/young people etc.


Young people's award

This category is for individuals under 25 years old who make a difference in our communities

Examples could include helping the elderly, helping vulnerable people, doing voluntary work in the community, arranging community events, setting a good example to others etc.


Green award

This category is for individuals who carry out work to improve the environment.

Examples could include promoting recycling, tidy up in our communities, keep gardens/ communal areas / streets and estates tidy, promoting and encouraging ways of saving energy etc.
